Our Story

Becky started Fremont Sweets after great success selling her baked goods at the Whitewater City Market. "I felt a need in the surrounding community for decadent baked goods, so I thought I'd try out at the Farmers Market to see if they would sell," said Becky. And did they ever! She has since expanded her line to include a variety of cakes, pies, breads, and tarts.

Becky used to work at an organic wholesale bakery and also owned her own bakery, The Bread Wagon Bakery, specializing in breads and baked goods. Becky was trained by Didier Rosada, a well-known teacher of European bread baking at the National Baking Center at Dunwoody Institute of Minnesota. She was also a member of The Bread Bakers Guild of America. Becky has had a strong interest in baking since the early 1990's. She said "I just want to provide good quality baked goods made with the best ingredients,". Using only natural ingredients, organic and local when possible. Becky never uses pre-bought mixes or frostings, everything is made from scratch.
